Color coated sheet classification and its performance comparison

Color coated steel plate is mainly classified according to its topcoat coating as PE polyester color plate, PVDF fluorocarbon color plate, HDP high weathering polyester color plate (also called high-performance polyester color plate), and SMP silicone modified color plate. Here we introduce the performance characteristics of different coating color plate, service life, use of the field and its comparison.

1.PE polyester color plate

Introduction: polyester color coating is the use of PE polyester paint coating on the metal plate, and then baked at high temperature to make the metal baking paint color plate.

Main features: good adhesion, wide range of formability and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance.

Specification: Thickness 0.17-1.5mm, width below 1250mm.

Substrate: Galvanized/aluminum zinc plated.

Coating structure: Two layers on the front/one layer on the back.

Coating thickness: 15-25um/5-10um.

Coil weight: less than or equal to 10 tons.

Coil inner diameter: 510mm/610mm.

Outer diameter of roll: 800-1500mm.

Useful life: 5-10 years

Application fields: light steel structure industrial workshop, warehouse, activity room, civil residence, flat to slope roof, etc.

2.SMP silicon modified color coated sheet

Introduction: Silicon modified color coating is the use of SMP silicon modified resin paint coating on the metal plate, and then baked at high temperature to make the metal baking paint color plate.

Main features: good hardness, abrasion resistance and heat resistance of the coating film, as well as good external durability and non-chalking, but limited gloss retention and flexibility.

Specification: Thickness 0.17-1.5mm, width below 1250mm.

Substrate: Galvanized/aluminum zinc plated.

Coating structure: two layers on the front side/one layer on the reverse side.

Coating thickness: 20-25um/5-10um.

Coil weight: less than or equal to 10 tons.

Coil inner diameter: 510mm/610mm.

Outer diameter of roll: 800-1500mm.

Useful life: 10-15 years

Application fields: light steel structure industrial workshop, storehouse, activity house, civil residence, flat to slope roof, etc.

3.HDP High Performance Color Coating

Introduction: High-performance color coating, also known as high weathering color plate, is the use of HDP high-performance polyester paint coating on the metal plate, and then baked at high temperature to make the metal baking paint color plate.

Main features: Due to the different molecular structure of resin between high performance polyester and common polyester, high performance polyester has better performance in resisting ultraviolet rays and has better durability, and its main performance is between polyester and fluorocarbon.

Specification: Thickness 0.17-1.5mm, width below 1250mm.

Substrate: Galvanized/aluminum zinc plated.

Coating structure: two layers on the front side/one layer on the reverse side.

Coating thickness: 20-25um/5-10um.

4.PVDF fluorocarbon color plate

Introduction: Fluorocarbon color plate is a metal baking paint color plate made by using PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride paint coated on metal plate and then baked at high temperature.

Main features: extraordinary stability, in the acid and alkali and pollution in the environment can maintain the stability of the performance; excellent durability, fluorocarbon color plate in the outdoor 20 years can still maintain good color and gloss; excellent processing performance, painted color plate with high flexibility, impact resistance, but also can be embossed after processing.
